Reason: History & Role in Pokémon Masters EX

History

Blue has experienced similar events to his core series counterpart. Blue received his first partner Pokémon, Squirtle, from his grandfather Professor Oak .[4] He left Pallet Town at the same time as Red and Leaf and formed a rivalry with each of them.[5] While on his journey, Blue caught a Growlithe and revived an Aerodactyl from some amber.[6][7] His Growlithe eventually evolved into Arcanine, and his Squirtle eventually evolved into Blastoise. At some point, Blue obtained a Pidgeot, which he uses to fly to different towns,[8] an Exeggutor, and a Charizard. After collecting Gym Badges, Blue defeated the Indigo League Elite Four and became the Champion of Kanto. However, he lost this title when Red defeated him shortly after, earning him the nickname "the phantom Champion".[9]

After losing to Red, Blue caught a Zapdos in the hopes of getting ahead of both Red and Leaf, but he later learned that they both already owned one of the legendary birds as well.[10]

Pidgeot

Raising this sync pair to 6★ EX will unlock Song Key 01002, which allows "Battle! (Blue) (Pokémon Masters EX Version)" to be played in the Jukebox.

Origin

Blue's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. Pidgeot is one of the Pokémon that Blue uses in the core series games—being his lead Pokémon in many battles and his highest-level Pokémon in HeartGold and SoulSilver, with it capable of Mega Evolving in Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon. In addition, Blue's Pokémon Origins and Pokémon Adventures counterparts have been depicted with a Pidgeot. Pidgeot's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire.

Arcanine is a Pokémon that Blue uses in the Kanto-based core series games if the player chooses Charmander or Squirtle as their first partner Pokémon, as well in other core series games he's appeared in. In addition, Blue's anime and Pokémon Adventures counterparts have been depicted with an Arcanine. Arcanine's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.

Exeggutor is a Pokémon that Blue uses in the Kanto-based core series games if the player chooses Charmander or Bulbasaur as their first partner Pokémon, as well in other core series games he's appeared in. In addition, Blue's Pokémon Origins and Pokémon Adventures counterparts have been depicted with an Exeggutor. Exeggutor's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.

Blastoise is the final evolution of Squirtle, one of the first partner Pokémon of Kanto in the core series games. Blastoise is Blue's first partner Pokémon if the player chooses Charmander as their first partner Pokémon in the Kanto-based core series games. In addition, Blue's anime, and Pokémon Zensho counterparts have been depicted with Blastoise. Blastoise's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire.

Blue's classic design is based on his appearance in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen. Aerodactyl is a Pokémon that Blue has used in the core series games since Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, with it being capable of Mega Evolving in Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon. Aerodactyl's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.

Charizard is the final evolution of Charmander, one of the first partner Pokémon of Kanto in the core series games. Charizard is Blue's first partner Pokémon if the player chooses Bulbasaur as their first partner Pokémon in the Kanto-based core series games. Blue also uses a Charizard as his signature Pokémon in Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!. In addition, Blue's Pokémon Adventures counterpart has been depicted with a Charizard.
