Every beginner should try to improve aim in Valorant alongside learning the abilities. Valorant is Riot’s tactical shooter and like all other tactical shooters, the good aim is the key to get better at the game.
Improve Aim in Valorant
There many basic fundamentals in Valorant which may seem small but they play a huge role in the shooting mechanism of Valorant. There are a few of them that you should learn to Improve Aim in Valorant.
5. Training Routine
This is the part which most of the new players tend to skip. You might think killing bots in the range or playing deathmatch is simply waste of time but this is the stepping stone for anyone to improve your aim in Valorant. If you want to improve your aim and stay consistent in-game, you must follow a daily fixed training Routine. You tainting routine should be personalized by your own game style but for a starter you can do
- 10 mins in Aim Trainer
- 15 mins in Training Range
- At least 1 Deathmatch
You can eliminate any of these steps and add more steps according to you needs but you should at least warm up for 15-30 mins every day to Improve aim in Valorant.
4. Sensitivity
Sensitivity is one of the key to have good aim in Valorant or in any other FPS shooter. You should find your Perfect Sensitivity as soon as you can. This “Perfect Sensitivity” varies person to person. Ideally you should
- Enter the Range
- Set your Sensitivity to 0.40(Base)
- The imagine a target in the wall or aim the center wooden beam.
- Turn 90 degrees and try to flick to the Beam.
- If you cross the beam then you should lower you sensitivity.
- If you don’t reach the Beam then you should increase your sensitivity.
Keep doing it until you find the sweet spot for yourself. And after that stick to that sensitivity as long as you can. Do not change your sensitivity regularly. Keep playing with a fixed sensitivity to build muscle memory.
3. Crosshair Placement
In Valorant headshots are extremely fatal. It takes one of two bullets to kill an enemy with headshots with most of the guns. To get more head shots you should really practice and keep Crosshair placement in mind. No that you have you Perfect Sensitivity and you Practice 15-30 mins in Range keep these in mid to get instant headshot.
- Unlike some other Hero-based FPS games, All the agents in Valorant has same height and same hitboxes as well.
- You always try to keep your crosshair level to your enemies head height.
- You can remember some certain line in the maps that line up with the head level.
- You can also aim at your teammate’s head before each round to find the perfect head location.
If you keep the crosshair on Head level always then, all you have to care about is moving the crosshair horizontally (left and right) which will be save you some time and a lot of movement and you’ll hit enemies’ head before they shoot you.
2. Crosshair
This is another factor that may not feel like much but it affects your aim heavily. All the pros prefer static crosshair as its less distracting. To make your crosshair static turn off all type of error in the crosshair settings. Although prefect crosshair varies to person to person but you should try to make your crosshairs with these point in mind to improve aim in Valorant.

- Choose a color that doesn’t blend with the map easily.
- Keep a static crosshair.

1. Use All Guns
This is a mistake that even some higher level players do as well and end up being in a sticky situation sometimes. You should be familiar with all the guns in game to improve aim in Valorant. You will not have big bags of credit every round in-game. Sometimes you may have to buy that Bulldog or Stinger. You don’t have to be a God all guns but at least get familiar with all the guns in-game to improve aim in Valorant.
