BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Between 150 to 200 steelhead fish will be released into the Boise River on Thursday, Idaho Fish and Game says.
The fish had been trapped in Hells Canyon Dam, and they'll be released at several locations.
"Boise River steelhead limits are two fish per day, six in possession, and 20 for the fall season," IDFG says. "Though required in other steelhead waters, barbless hooks are not required for Boise River steelhead angling."
Anglers need a steelhead permit to legally catch steelheads in the Boise River.
